WACO, Texas - Baylor women's tennis players Makenzie Craft, Victoria Kisialeva and Blair Shankle will close out the fall season by taking part in the Jack Kramer Intercollegiate starting Thursday at the Jack Kramer Tennis Club in Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.
The event will feature a 64-player singles draw and a 32-team doubles draw.
In singles action, the 114th-ranked Kisialeva will be the eighth-seed. She has produced a 5-3 record this year and will take on the winner of Priscila Garcia (UC-Santa Barbara) and Jessica Perez (Loyola Marymount) at 2 p.m. Thursday.
Craft, the 11th-seed, will tangle with Anna Depenau of San Diego at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Craft has a 5-2 record in fall play.
The 16th-seeded Shankle will play Loyola Marymount's Miya Jin at 12:30 p.m. Thursday to open her run in the event. Shankle is 7-2 in singles action this fall.
In doubles, Kisialeva and Shankle are the event's No. 1 seed, after racking up an 8-1 fall record together. After a bye in the first round, the BU duo will face Anna Depenau and Mikayla Morkel-Brink of the University of San Diego at 11 a.m. on Friday.
