A Proven CoachUnder 16th-year head coach Joey Scrivano, Baylor women's tennis players develop into the best version of themselves on and off the court. His consistent approach and unwavering dedication has produced 31 All-Americans, including the nation's first unseeded singles national champion in Zuzana Zemenova.
The six-time Big 12 Coach of the Year has led Baylor to two Final Fours, six Elite Eights and 19 Big 12 Championships in his tenure. The Bears have earned 13 consecutive berths to the NCAA Team Championships and 14 in the last 15 seasons. Entering his 16th season, Scrivano is 138-16 (.896) in the Big 12 and 354-115 (.755) overall at Baylor. The Bears have never finished lower than fourth in the conference standings under Scrivano's guidance, boasting 11 regular season league titles.
The Value of a DegreeA Baylor degree with a tennis scholarship is valued at $500,000 or $150,000 annually. A scholarship can cover your expenses, including those associated with housing, meals, travel, medical and training. Student-athletes at Baylor work with strength and conditioning coaches, athletic trainers, nutritionists and massage therapists to keep themselves in top playing shape.

Top Notch Training FacilitiesThe Hurd Tennis Center includes 12 outdoor courts and the Hurd Tennis Building, which houses all of the day-to-day operations of Baylor tennis programs. The women's tennis program enjoys a state-of-the-art locker room with team meeting space and lounge attached. The grandstand can hold 1,200 spectators with tiered grass seating on either side of the main six courts there is room for over 2,000 fans to take in a match. Since opening in 2001, the facility has continually been updated in order for it to remain one of the nicest tennis facilities in the country.
The Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center, dedicated in January 2013, is a 34,000-square-foot, $7 million venue. The state-of-the-art facility allows Baylor tennis to practice and play year-round, regardless of weather conditions. Six parallel indoor tennis courts with spectator seating ensures that fans and players can enjoy top tennis action in a comfortable environment.
