Kirsten Berg is in her first season as a student assistant with the Baylor volleyball program following three seasons as a player.

Berg finished her career with 396 kills, 1.90 kills per game, 128 total blocks and 0.62 blocks per game. Berg amassed seven double-doubles, 14 matches with at least 10 kills and 11 matches with at least 10 digs. She was a regular starter each of the past two seasons. Last fall, Berg enjoyed her finest season in the Green and Gold with 220 kills for a 2.65 per game average and 209 digs for a 2.52 per game average, all career bests. She pounded a career-high 21 kills against Texas. Berg earned second-team Academic all-Big 12 Conference honors last year, as well.

A native of La Habra Heights, Calif., Berg is working toward completion of degrees in reading and interdisciplinary studies.

1998: Registered 76 kills in 200 total attacks...Season was cut short due to injury September 25th, tearing her ACL in the first game against Texas...Had a career-high 16 kills in just her third collegiate match Sept. 5 against Rice...Also had 12 digs against the Owls...Followed that performance with a seven-kill, no-error, four-block outing at North Texas later in the day...Turned in arguably the best match of her career Sept. 6 against Northwestern with 11 kills, a career-high 16 digs and eight total blocks against Northwestern...Had 10 digs in four games Sept. 10 against Arizona State...Tallied eight kills and 13 digs with a couple of blocks Sept. 18 against Miami University...Had seven digs and four blocks, including one solo, Sept. 19 at Arkansas.
