Hope Ogden led the Green Team with 11 digs in Tuesday night's scrimmage

The Baylor volleyball team hits the road Wednesday heading to Colorado for its season opener Friday at Colorado State. However, in front of a home crowd Tuesday night at the Ferrell Center, the Bears closed preseason practice with a three-set scrimmage.
The "Green" team for the Bears took all three sets by a score of 25-14, 25-22, 26-24. Thea Munch-Soegaard led the Green Team with 16 kills and a .419 hitting percentage while freshman Katie Staiger added a dozen kills. The Green team hit .304 as a team paced by Amy Rosenbaum's 36 assists.
On the Gold Team, senior Zoe Adom led with 11 kills and Nicole Bardaji added seven. The Gold Team hit .139 with 26 assists from Morgan Reed. Freshman Tola Itiola led the defensive effort for the Gold Team with three total blcoks and Mackenzie Mayo added 11 digs.
Baylor's match in Fort Collins, Colo. at Colorado State will kickoff the season at 7 p.m., CDT.
