Nataly Korobkova recorded 13 kills and 19th-ranked Kansas State hit .426 as a team as the Wildcats swept Baylor 3-0 (30-16, 30-16, 30-20) at Ahearn Field House on Saturday afternoon.
Korobkova, the preseason Big 12 Newcomer of the Year committed just three hitting errors in her 19 total attempts (.526) and added three serving aces on consecutive points to key a K-State run in game two.
Anna Breyfogle (Buda, Texas) led the way for Baylor with nine kills and no hitting errors in 17 attacks (.529). Amanda Modglin (Houston, Texas) tallied five kills and no errors in 11 attempts, while Ashlie Christenson (Cleburne, Texas) contributed eight kills.
Kansas State (10-2, 2-0 Big 12) also got 10 kills from Megan Farr, while Rita LIliom and Kelsey Chipman added nine apiece. Stacey Spiegelberg recorded 46 set assists and a match-high six service aces.
Baylor (7-5, 0-2 Big 12) failed to recorded as many digs as its opponent for the second straight match, and tallied just three blocks as a team. The Bears got solid contribution from the middles as Breyfogle and Modglin combined to hit .500 (14-0-28), but struggled as the remaining players hit .015 (18-17-68).
The Bears return to action on Wednesday as Baylor travels to face Colorado at 7:30 p.m. at the Coors Events and Conference Center.
