MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State used 13 blocks and a kept Baylor to a .074 hitting percentage in a 25-17, 25-17, 25-17 sweep of the Bears at Ahearn Field House Wednesday night. KSU (17-9, 5-8) used a balanced attack offensively with Taylor Johnson and Courtney Traxson leading with eight kills apiece.
However, the story was the block for the Wildcats with five players recording at least three bocks with Katie Brand and Kaitlynn Pelger posting six apiece.
Baylor (12-18, 4-10) hit just .194 in set one, .026 in set two and .000 in set three. Adrien Richburg had nine kills in the losing efforts, Kayci Evans had 11 digs and Kristina Fitzpatrick had a career-high nine digs for Baylor.
- Hope Ogden passed the 700-career digs mark in the loss and has 701 headed into Saturday’s match with West Virginia.

6 – Prior to 2013, Baylor had never failed to score 20 points in at least one set during a match since rally scoring began in 2001. However Baylor has failed to reach 20 points in a set now six times this season, and for the second straight match including Wednesday’s loss to Oklahoma.
Baylor will honor seniors Zoe Adom and Kayci Evans on senior day at Noon Saturday as the Bears take on West Virginia in the home finale.
