Baylor hits to road for the second-straight match as the Bears face Colorado on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. (Mountain) at the Coors Events Center.
The Bears enter the match following a 3-0 loss to No. 19Kansas State on Saturday. Baylor had its worst offensive performance of the season as the Bears hit .156 for the match. The Wildcats, however, had one of their most efficient matches of the season, finishing with a .426 hitting percentage.
Anna Breyfogle (Buda, Texas) led the Bears with nine kills and no hitting errors in 17 total attempts. It marked the second time this season the sophomore middle blocker hit better than .500 for a match.
Amanda Modglin (Houston, Texas) recorded five kills with no hitting errors in 11 swings (.455) Modglin has not committed a hitting error in conference play as she recorded five kills with no errors in 13 attempts against Iowa State.
Baylor recorded just three total blocks, while Kansas State tallied six team blocks. The Wildcats also recorded 13 service errors to three for the Bears.
Colorado enters the match with a 5-4 overall record, 0-1 in the Big 12. The Buffaloes lost their Big 12 opener on Wednesday against Texas Tech 3-2.
Colorado lost matches to Tulane and Furman to open the season before sweeping its home tournament, including an upset of 11th-ranked California. The Buffaloes lost to Colorado State before defeating Winthrop and Miami (OH) to end their pre-conference schedule.
