WACO, Texas - Baylor's volleyball team will play host to Texas Tech Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the team's final televised broadcast of the season. The Bears (11-16, 3-8) will be looking for the season sweep over the Red Raiders (9-18, 2-9) after defeating TTU in Lubbock, Oct. 26.
Baylor is in a 3-way tie for sixth place in the Big 12 standings while Texas Tech is ninth in the 9-team league. The Bears took the victory in the teams' earlier meeting in four sets and were led by Laura Jones' 16 kills and 14 digs. In the losing effort for the Red Raiders in the last meeting, Meghan Stacy matched Jones' 16 kills.
The Bears have won 16 of the last 17 matchups with TTU, but the Red Raiders lead the all-time series 46-25.
Fox Sports Southwest, and FSSW+ will carry the match with John Morris on the play-by-play duties, and Kristen Bates, a former BU volleyball player, with color commentary. Waco viewers, and all points north in the FSSW region will see the match on FSSW, while all points south of Waco in the viewership can watch the match on FSSW+.
Baylor will be honoring active military by admitting those with a valid military ID into the match for free.
