WACO, Texas – Eight Baylor Bears were among the 60 Big 12 volleyball players honored by the league office Tuesday for their performance in the classroom. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative, or the two previous semesters, and must have participated in 60 percent of their team’s scheduled contests.
The Bears put seven on the first team, which included 51 members altogether while Baylor had one second-team member out of nine total in the league. First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 GPA or better while the second-team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
Zoe Adom was among 13 Big 12 volleyball players to earn the honor for the third time in her career. Joining Adom on the first team was Nicole Bardaji, Laura Jones, Mackenzie Mayo, Hope Ogden, Adrien Richburg, and Amy Rosenbaum while Kayci Evans was named second team.
Baylor was second among Big 12 schools with seven first-team selections and second overall with eight total selections.
