The Jayhawks started the year winning 11 of their first 12 matches, including the highest-ranked win in program history over then-No. 6 Minnesota. Since, Kansas is just 3-13, with two Big 12 wins (both over Texas Tech). Baylor defeated the Jayhwaks 3-1 earlier this season.

OH Allison Mayfield leads KU in kills at 4.16/set, but is hitting just .202 on the season. MB Caroline Jarmoc leads the team, hitting at a .316 clip with 2.92 kills/set. A solid blocking team at 2.58 blocks/set, Jarmoc (1.25/set) and Taylor Tolefree (1.14/set) lead the way.

  • Baylor's four wins over the RPI top 50 include a win over then No. 23 Oklahoma, current No. 27 Kansas State, current No. 32 Missouri and Kansas. The win over Oklahoma was on the road.
  • With its final home game of the season, Baylor set a program attendance record for second time in three seasons at 879 per match, with more than 11,000 total for the third straight year.
  • SR Allison King recently moved into second all-time in the Big 12 with 2,060 career digs. She is the BU all-time leader and has had 30 (28 straight) matches with at least 10 digs this season.
  • With 77 digs as a team against Iowa State, Baylor eclipsed the 2,000 mark for just the seventh time in program history and currently have the fifth-highest total ever at Baylor with 2,058.
  • MB Briana Tolbert has put together her best season, notching team-leading career highs in kills (329), kills/set (2.79), hitting percentage (.341) and total blocks (100).
  • Head coach Jim Barnes earned his BU-record 130th win on Oct. 5 in a sweep over Texas Tech. Currently, he sits just two wins away from 300 with a career mark of 298-217.
  • Baylor closed the non-conference portion of the regular season at Texas State to improve to 13-3 outside of the league. Baylor won the Baylor Classic and UNLV Classic titles.
