The Lady Bears held their "Sic `em for the Cure" game against TCU on Saturday, Feb. 16 as part in the seventh annual Play 4Kay® initiative. In partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation for Cancer Research, Play 4Kay® is a national fundraising effort in memory of former North Carolina State University head coach Kay Yow, who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987 and battled the disease until 2009.
Online Auction
As part of the WBCA Play 4Kay® initiative, Baylor Athletics, in partnership with CBS College Sports, is auctioning off several items to help promote breast cancer awareness.
Beginning Monday, Feb. 18 at 8 a.m. (central) and running through Friday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m., 16 items will be auctioned online at BaylorBears.com. All proceeds generated by the auction will be donated to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund®. To learn more about this organization visit http://www.kayyow.com.
